Case Study – Classic & Modern Boats
Customer: AzurEscape, Switzerland
AzurEscape specializes in converting classic and modern boats from conventional combustion engines to fully electric propulsion systems, enabling zero-emission boating while preserving the character and lifespan of existing vessels.
To power its marine electrification projects, AzurEscape relies on AMPHERR Battery Packs. The combination of high-performance battery technology, a smart Battery Management System (BMS), and modular scalability allows AzurEscape to tailor battery capacity to the requirements of each vessel.
AMPHERR was selected not only for its reliable product availability and technical support, but also for its Lloyd's Register certification, which helps ensure compliance with the demanding safety and quality standards of the marine industry.
One of AzurEscape's first pilot projects involved the electrification of a classic motorboat from the 1960s. While preserving the boat's original design, the propulsion system was replaced with a modern electric drivetrain powered by AMPHERR batteries. The result is a quiet, clean, and high-performance boating experience with zero local emissions.
Today, AzurEscape and AMPHERR are collaborating on multiple projects, helping accelerate the transition toward sustainable boating across Switzerland and neighboring countries, where restrictions on combustion-powered boats are becoming increasingly common.
