Besides the characteristics like power density, energy density, or cycle life, fast charging capability plays a very important role when it comes to total benefit calculations. Most of today’s electric vehicles are not designed to be electric from scratch, therefore geometric limitations are big barriers in front of the electrification engineers. Thanks to AMPHERR’s narrow 609mm width design philosophy, most of the light commercial vehicle manufacturer will find AMPHERR products very easy to integrate while keeping the flexibility of using different cell chemistries. Besides that, AMPHERR’s parallel topology gives the engineers flexibility of using distributed battery systems in the vehicle to get the maximum volumetric efficiency from the cavities in the vehicle.

Each application has different requirements in terms of power density, energy density, cycle life, and temperature characteristics. AMPHERR has a wide range of portfolio which has the best fit for each application with different energy levels from as low as 13kWh to a massive 130kWh in one housing. Different cell chemistries give the vehicle manufacturer the flexibility to switch to the best chemistry for a given application without too much engineering effort. There is also the possibility to extend the energy level by connecting battery packs in parallel. You can either pick one large housing for simplicity or go for smaller packs in parallel for better redundancy.
